Top Supervisor Honoured

University of Otago physical education researcher Dr. Jim Cotter has been named the Otago University Students Association’s Overall Supervisor of the Year, in recognition of his work with postgraduate students.

Dr. Cotter, a senior lecturer who joined the University staff in 2001, says the award was "very humbling." Dr. Cotter advises on Sparc's High Performance Programme, and has served on the executive board of Sport and Exercise Science NZ since 2005.
This year’s OUSA supervisor awards saw 120 postgraduate students nominate 74 supervisors. A student committee selected the top 10 after considering the nomination information and further comments by other students.
