The 2026 Re:Ori Lineup

The 2026 Re:Ori Lineup

Might as well do something before the assignments come rolling in

Critic Te Ārohi hopes you have mentally recovered from the first semester. Godspeed if you have any special exams this week – we do not envy you. Before the lock-in starts (we know you’re planning one after those results), there’s a whole week of good stuff to get up to. Tickets to the paid events can be snagged on the OUSA website. Here’s what’s happening.

MONDAY: Monday is the indoor movie night. As you’ve probably noticed by now, it’s fucking cold outside, so don’t go there. Instead, rock up to Auahi Ora from 7 to 9:30pm for a free movie. Popcorn is provided, and the bar is open to spice up the night. Keep your eyes peeled on the @ousanz Instagram to see what’s playing.

TUESDAY: It’s a triple showing on Tuesday. In between lectures, you can check out Clubs Day in the Link and Main Common Room. It’s the perfect time to pick up a hobby other than drinking or doomscrolling. In the evening, you can keep it mellow at Auahi Ora’s Open Mic & Karaoke Evening, from 8 to 10:30pm. Otherwise, if you’ve missed U-Bar too much, grab a $10 ticket to the Y2K party kicking off from 9pm.

WEDNESDAY: Tempted to wag a class already? The Radio One Market Day is back again, just in time to snag a new fit for 21st season. In the evening, there’s a quiz night that is for all the students who don’t know niche old shit at a pub quiz – the “No Boomers” trivia. Round up a team of up to six brainiacs and grab your tickets online, teams are $30. Down under in U-Bar, Radio One is taking over Pint Night with Band Tee Bangers. Music from the bands that altered your brain chemistry are on show all night, with all the classic Pint Night antics to match.

THURSDAY: Not to be biased, but this is the best night of Re:Ori. Critic has gotten our dear friend Craig Daniels to host a bingo night (bought to you by Wests <3), with a Ninja SLUSHi up to grabs. Tickets are only $10, so bring your lucky cards and rock up to Auahi Ora from 7-9:30. If you’re scared to get caught by Campus Watch, U-Bar is hosting a House Party, with $10 tickets as well. Rock up from 9pm for a night of good vibes from the decks. Rumour has it that the first 50 punters to enter before 10pm at the House Party and Tuesday’s Y2K party get a $7 food and beverage voucher.

FRIDAY: Feeling tired yet? Te Oraka is bringing the wholesome energy with a nighttime festival. With a stacked range of thrifting goods to cop, and an array of food trucks, it’s the perfect moment to add some wholesome memories to the Re:Ori lore. Auahi Ora and the Union Courtyard are hosting the nighttime festivities, from 5-9pm.

SATURDAY: One last hurrah! Te Rōpū Māori Presents: Hori Shaw & Te Wehi rounds off Re:Ori. Te Wehi brings songs backed by consistent number one places on the Aotearoa Music Charts last year, while Hori Shaw brings roots and reggae tunes that snagged him the Breakthrough Artist at the 2025 Aotearoa Music Awards. Student tickets are $50, kicking off from 8PM in Union Hall. Keep an eye out on our socials for a double pass giveaway!
