Holy fuck – what a week! Firstly, I am absolutely thrilled with the amount of letters Critic has been receiving lately. I literally couldn’t fit them all in the mag, even with me cutting this editorial in half. Talk about student engagement.
Secondly, this issue has turned out to be super political, despite it definitely not being themed that way. The OUSA leader's debate was absolutely nuts and made me laugh harder than I have in years, despite it kind of being fucked up that a “debate” resembled childish bickering more than anything. You can read more about that in news.
Our feature, brought to you by the lovely Imogen, is also super political. With the help of Robert Patman, Imogen attempts to crash course everyone into what feels a lot like a brewing WWIII. You’ll also see that I popped up in culture for once, writing about how to de-AI-ify your life, which is depressingly hard. If you flick to columns, you’ll see Heeni’s piece on the Politics of Being Nice, which is an absolute read. The North Island Princess reigns supreme! The centrefold this week is also pretty sick, so check that out. Chuck it on your walls, etcetera.
I don’t really have much else to say other than that I hope that the letters keep coming, and that you all enrol to vote. Love ya!
