International Women’s Day

Monday March 8 is the 99th International Women’s Day. Fifteen countries, including Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Moldova, celebrate International Women’s Day as an official holiday.

Unfortunately, no such luck in New Zealand, so everyone will still be expected to turn up to lectures (doesn’t Ethel Benjamin buy us even one measly holiday). However, to mark the occasion, OUSA Women’s Rep Shonelle Eastwood is offering nibbles and information displays in the Women’s Room from midday onwards. Men are not invited.
