Government shovels money at youth unemployment

comment by Munira Saib | 6:26 am, 04/10/2011

I am the mother of a highly motivated and desperately passionate aircraft engineer who has tried unsuccessfully over the last 3 months to secure employment in his field. It has been a difficult time for the entire family watching him disillusioned and disappointed every time. He needs an entry level position and all vacancies thus far are for experienced engineers. He would give anything to become a safe, licenced engineer. Courses should not be offered if jobs in the particular field are hard to come by. It is great that funding for training in aged care, horticulture and agriculture has been ear-marked. It would be great if the same could be done for aircraft engineers. There are not many of them, so I feel they should be protected to a degree.

“Double Down” Burger = Double Workload for KFC Staff

comment by kfcemployee | 2:36 pm, 06/08/2011

Is there any response from anyone after reading this article. What Mr. Anderson said is right. This burger made many life's hell. What the stores weekly sales is double than that when this burger was there. But there was neither increase in pay nor any recognition for the staff. Leave about the increase in the pay we were underpaid. No union or anyone else did nothing for this. The UNITE people are just waste. They never solved any problem of the employees who are paying for them. Dont know what they are meant for. Its better that KFC CLOSES and the UNITE as well. Sorry to say this but i mean it.
